As an artist and designer Clare is committed to:

  • The thoughtful use of materials and tools used to create artwork
  • Maintaining and building knowledge around ethical and sustainable living and working
  • Using this knowledge to collaborate, share and participate in complimentary projects

As a business, C F McEwan is committed to:

  • Using natural fibres in each collection and where possible accredited as Global Organic Trading Standard (GOTS), working to fair trade principles, Fairtrade and local
  • Using new technologies and eco-suppliers to minimize water, printing ink, paper, postage and travel
  • Producing work in the UK to promote skills and expertise of local makers and pioneering technologies
  • Raising the status of ‘eco fabrics’ to produce luxury, contemporary and collectable pieces
  • Creating beautiful, long lasting pieces, celebrated for their use of colour, texture and quality.
